Summary


Licensed therapists will provide outpatient mental health services to children, adults, and families or groups regarding psychological or emotional problems such as adjustment to illness and pain, domestic violence, post traumatic stress and anxiety, mood disorders, psychosis, attention deficit, or family situations. Therapists will provide psychotherapy to clients both on an individual, family and group basis and are responsible for client care and treatment. The licensed therapist will provide culturally sensitive mental health services to clients by performing the following duties:

Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

    • Observes, performs diagnostic interviews and evaluates clients referred for psychological, emotional or behavioral health problems.
    • Sets objectives and goals for treatment and develops treatment plan in conjunction with the Medical Director.
    • Implements and monitors treatment plans.
    • Provides individual or group treatment, such as psychotherapy, supportive therapy or crisis intervention on a long-term or short-term basis.
    • Consults with family, community and external health agencies to obtain information and to coordinate therapy and to help patients utilize resources of agencies.
    • Maintains patients’ records according to COMAR and agency’s standards.
    • Participate in treatment planning and mandatory staff meetings.
    • Coordinates services with referring agencies


Qualifications, Education, and Experience

  • Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or an acceptable related field required.
  • Licensed in Maryland
  • Psychotherapy experience in a clinic setting preferred
  • Licensed therapists need to pass a background check including fingerprinting in accordance with Title 5, Subtitle 5 Part VI of the Family Law Article of Maryland Code.

Special Education Substitute Teachers

Summary


Special education substitute teachers provide instructional services to designated students per their IEP for all or part of a day. Instructional services shall include preparing lesson plans, providing instruction, implementing IEP’s and managing classroom behavior.
Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Manages classroom behavior of designated students.
  • Assists in maintaining proper safety and security of students and provides crisis intervention and conflict resolution when necessary.
  • Participates in mandatory trainings and meetings.
  • Completes all necessary paperwork in a timely manner.


Qualifications, Education, and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Substitute teachers shall demonstrate a successful experience working with children and adolescents.
  • Substitute teachers need to pass a background check including fingerprinting in accordance with Title 5, Subtitle 5 Part VI of the Family Law Article of Maryland Code.

One-to-One/Special Education Program Aides

Summary


One-to-One Aides provide supportive services to special education students as dictated by the students’ IEP. The Aide assists in maintaining a safe learning environment for the student and provides instructional support, leadership and guidance.

Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

    • Supervises student behavior in the classroom, school and school-related functions.
    • Provides instructional support to assigned student, as indicated by the IEP.
    • Assists in maintaining proper safety and security of students and provides crisis intervention when necessary.
    • Participates in mandatory trainings and meetings.
    • Completes all necessary paperwork in a timely manner.


Qualifications, Education, and Experience

  • High School Diploma.
  • At least one year experience working with children in a school setting preferred.
  • One-to-Aides need to pass a background check including fingerprinting in accordance with Title 5, Subtitle 5 Part VI of the Family Law Article of Maryland Code.
